My artwork has been inspired by my dreams, but I focus on the structures of the dream, especially the way the dream narrative is laid out. In dreams, nothing really makes sense, but emotions are present - there is something very unique about dreams and the stories they tell.
I am inspired and stimulated by other artists - I think this is very natural and it always leaves an impact on me. I try to purely focus on my work and all of these influences come naturally in my art pieces, reinterpreted to an extent. I also get inspiration from classical paintings, music, and everything. Even the images from social media, the ones that are regenerated on repeat.
Another person who comes to mind is Hayne Park, the artist of Gloryhole Light Sales. She runs a glass art business and she and I did an exhibition together. We often talk about our concerns as artists.
The people that inspire me the most are mostly fictional and do not exist in real life. It's mostly characters from novels, games, movies etc. I usually get my inspiration from objects that aren’t real, but sometimes old painters inspire me too.
